Smiley Eagle is standing over me with a shotgun pointed at my head. He is "requesting" that I sign this guestbook. I ALWAYS do what Smiley Eagle says, and I strongly suggest that EVERYONE that reads this does the same. Despite the fact that I may die before I finish typing this, I'm happy cause I get to listen to this beautiful music play in the background. Smiley Eagle tells me the song I'm hearing is called "Heartbeat". How ironic... As you said in your entry in my guestbook, we are blessed with Swamp Pop. Without a doubt, all of our assets in Louisiana, be it the beauty, the cultures, the life styles and on and on, are bound together by our unique music. Be it Dixieland, French, Zydeco, Blues, Country, R&R, and R&B, and one of my favorites, Swamp Pop, when it is made in that area between Texas and Mississippi, you know it. It is stamped "Made In LA", clearly. It is very important that we continue our traditions and let them evolve to keep that "glue" fresh. We are blessed. We are unique. The country knows it and envies us. Let's give 'em what they want.

I just moved back into the area after being gone for 15 years. A friend told me about you & your music. I opened your website, which I truly like. After viewing some of your pictures I just wondered if we went to school together. You appear to be alot younger than me. I graduated from Assumption High in 1969 and remembered a Blanchard from Pierre Part who was as talented as you. I think perhaps I am getting the two of you confused. I looked at your upcoming schedule & if my work schedule allows me I hope to go and hear you play. My father, who passed 12 years ago, was also a great musician so the love of music is in my heart and soul. Like the old story goes "The Apple Does Not Fall Far From The Tree" I also have inherited some of my father's talent. Although I am not nearly as talented as yourself or my father I still have music in my blood, heart and soul. Hope to see you whenever I have the opportunity.

I only recently discovered Cajun music on eBay, never heard it before (never really heard of Cajuns before). My favorites are Steve Riley and the Mamou Boys and Beausoleil but I'm not sure about Swamp Pop.
